Itinerary
We collect you from your accommodation in Marrakech or an agreed meeting point and cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka. Enjoy safe photo and comfort stops along the way before exploring the earthen lanes and kasbah scenery of Aït Ben Haddou.
Continue through Ouarzazate and Kalaat M’Gouna towards the Dades region. Visits to the film studios or Kasbah Taourirt depend on your confirmed programme and the time available; they are not guaranteed stops.
Overnight: a traditional Kasbah hotel in Boumalne Dades, as specified in the existing programme. If you would prefer an Ouarzazate alternative, ask Omega Tour to confirm whether it is suitable for your dates, season and availability before booking. Leave Boumalne Dades and travel towards Tinghir, where palm groves and villages give way to the dramatic cliffs of Todra Gorge. Pause for photographs and a short independent walk beside the river. Your driver can suggest lunch options around Tinghir or Todra; lunch is paid separately unless your confirmed booking states otherwise.
Continue through increasingly arid landscapes towards Merzouga and the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. A camel ride takes you towards your desert camp. Guests who prefer to avoid the camels can arrange a 4×4 camp transfer with Omega Tour in advance; confirm the arrangements and any applicable cost when booking.
Overnight: your reserved Sahara desert camp. Enjoy the quiet of the dunes and the evening atmosphere, with the camp category and meals specified in your booking.
