Itinerary

Your 4 days Marrakech desert tour begins with early pick-up from your accommodation or an agreed accessible meeting point. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka, with photo and comfort stops along the mountain road.

Continue to Aït Ben Haddou to explore its earthen lanes and fortified buildings, then stop for lunch. Travel through Ouarzazate, known for its kasbah architecture and film studios. Any interior visit depends on the day’s timing, with entrance and guide fees confirmed in advance.

Continue through Kelaat M’Gouna towards Boumalne Dades for your first overnight. This is a long travel day, with the final stops arranged around road conditions and arrival time.

After breakfast, leave the Dades region for Tinghir and Todra Gorge. Enjoy a short walk beside the river beneath the canyon’s high cliffs, then continue east towards the Sahara.

Travel through Tinejdad and Erfoud, with a lunch break along the route. Continue via Rissani, where a local stop depends on timing and the market day. If you would like a fossil workshop or guided visit, tell us beforehand so we can confirm availability and any extra fees.

Arrive in Merzouga and meet the desert team for a camel ride through the Erg Chebbi dunes to your camp. Sunset views depend on the season and arrival time. Enjoy dinner and your Sahara overnight; a 4×4 camp transfer is available on request.

Wake early if you would like to see the Sahara sunrise. After breakfast and time to freshen up, return from camp by camel or a pre-arranged 4×4 transfer and begin the journey towards Zagora.

Travel through the southern landscapes around Rissani, Alnif and N’Kob, with comfort, lunch and photo stops along the way. Alnif is known for fossils; any workshop visit is arranged around your interests and the driving schedule.

Continue towards the Draa Valley and Zagora for your third overnight in a hotel or traditional kasbah accommodation. A Tamnougalt visit near Agdz may be arranged on Day 3 or Day 4, depending on the confirmed route and available time.

After breakfast, leave Zagora and follow the Draa Valley towards Agdz, with views of palm groves, villages and earthen kasbahs. If included in your confirmed itinerary, stop near Tamnougalt to discover the area’s traditional architecture.

Continue across the mountain scenery towards Ouarzazate. Take a lunch break and agree any remaining photo stops with your driver before crossing the High Atlas via Tizi n’Tichka.

Return to Marrakech for drop-off at your accommodation or the nearest accessible meeting point. This is another substantial driving day; arrival depends on traffic, road conditions and the stops agreed for your journey.
